Andrew’s work on marine and coastal species, ecosystems and seascapes is helping to deliver practical solutions for conservation, restoration, fisheries and coastal stewardship. His research focuses on spatial ecology, biodiversity, ecosystem functioning and resilience, and he integrates these themes with training for community groups, citizen scientists and first-nations people.

Andrew has over 20 years of experience working across universities, government, and private industry. He has designed, implemented, and managed major coastal conservation, restoration and monitoring projects in a diversity of tropical and subtropical seascapes. Andrew has also developed strong research, monitoring and training partnerships with government, NGOs, community groups and Traditional Owners across Australia and the tropical Pacific. He welcomes opportunities to collaborate on new research projects.
