Kim joined the Centre for Human Factors and Systems Science as a Research Assistant in 2025. As part of the BAT_RLX team, her role involves analysing and coding road user behaviours to optimise safety at railway level crossings, as well as assisting in presenting of findings to industry partners. Currently, Kim is a second-year student in Bachelor of Psychology (Honour) program at the University of the Sunshine Coast.

As a member of the professional and leading research team, she is gaining valuable research experience, deepening her understanding of how social influence and infrastructure design impact on human behaviour, and applying psychological theories in the real-world problems through system thinking methodology. This opportunity enables her to bridge academic knowledge with practical applications, fostering her growth as a researcher and psychology professional.
