Sabine Sand is an experienced research lawyer and commercial research manager with a strong background in research partnerships, legal advisory, and intellectual property. She has held senior roles across the university, hospital, and legal sectors, including The University of Queensland and Children’s Health Queensland Hospital. Sabine specialises in managing complex research agreements, supporting strategic collaborations, and navigating regulatory frameworks in clinical and commercial research. Her contributions have been recognised through multiple internal and external excellence awards.
At UniSC, Sabine leads the Research Legal team, a key unit within the Office of Research. The team plays a vital role in supporting UniSC’s commitment to research excellence and innovation—enabling impactful collaborations, supporting strategic partnerships, and safeguarding the university’s legal and strategic interests.
