Accessibility of Child Sexual Abuse Prevention in Australia

Accessibility of child sexual abuse prevention services and resources across Australia’s geographically dispersed and culturally diverse population warrants priority attention. A comprehensive and nuanced understanding of accessibility is needed, investigating both barriers and facilitators to uptake, in order to develop strategies to advance future prevention policy and implementation that is accessible to all.

Impact

This project will produce new knowledge vital to understanding the barriers and facilitators to accessible and tailored prevention, to inform the development of a framework for accessible child sexual abuse prevention, to guide future policy and practice. This should enhance the safety of children across Australia, including those most at risk of abuse, increasing reach and effectiveness of safeguarding policy and practice in Australia.
