Healthy ageing forum offers blueprint for living stronger, longer

A Healthy Ageing Forum on the Sunshine Coast is offering residents insights on staying strong, connected and resilient as they grow older.

The event, on Thursday 26 June at the Sunshine Coast Health Institute in Birtinya, will bring together leading health experts, researchers and practitioners to share the latest research and practical advice for maintaining strength and independence later in life.

Speakers include University of the Sunshine Coast nutrition expert Dr Anthony Villani who will share dietary strategies to 'eat well, live strong'.

The event is presented by Sunshine Coast Council, UniSC, Country to Coast Queensland, Sunshine Coast Health Institute, Comlink, and Healthy Ageing Partnerships.

Organisers say healthy ageing is more than just physical health. It’s about resilience, purpose, and staying connected to our communities.

The forum offers an opportunity for people to learn, be inspired, and walk away with tools to support their own wellbeing or that of loved ones.

Topics will include frailty prevention, community connection, healthy living, and strategies to age well with strength and confidence.
