Saving our ‘milbi’: Work begins on new sea turtle research and recovery centre

Building has begun this week on a University of the Sunshine Coast-led research and rehabilitation centre dedicated to saving sick and injured marine turtles.

Clinical trials

UniSC Clinical Trials is a multi-site clinical trial network operating across the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, Brisbane, and beyond. The team specialises in delivering high-quality and efficient studies, from first-in-human to late-phase trials. With a focus on combining priority with passion, they ensure operational excellence and work to improve access to innovative research within the community. UniSC Clinical Trials collaborates with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to support drug and treatment development, conducting both high-volume and specialised, complex studies across an expanding portfolio of therapeutic areas.

UniSC Innovation provides an incubator environment that assists ambitious start-ups and scaleups to grow. A commercialisation pathway for academics or business looking to partner with innovative UniSC research, the Centre supports university and industry interactions and knowledge transfer in targeted fields to unlock the innovation, productivity and potential of its regional communities.
