Covering a third of the earth's surface, the Pacific Ocean is home to thousands of unique islands
The Australian Centre for Pacific Islands Research (ACPIR) is committed to co-designing research projects and evidence-based solutions with Pacific communities.
Our research supports these communities to play a role in shaping a more sustainable future to combat climate change, natural disasters, and evolving health concerns. The diversity of island types and cultures across Polynesia, Melanesia and Micronesia pose distinctive challenges. We invite you to learn more about ACPIR's research impact in the Pacific Islands.
