Buranga Centre Continuing Headstart Scholarship

Scholarship applications are now open and will close on 30 November 2025.

All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by 27 February 2026.

The Buranga Centre Continuing Headstart Scholarship will assist students who have successfully completed a Headstart unit in Year 12 and enrol directly into an undergraduate program for Study Period 1, 2026.

These scholarships are for Indigenous undergraduate students enrolled in a Commonwealth-supported program at UniSC and will be available subject to funding from the Federal Government.

The Buranga Centre Continuing Headstart Scholarship assists Indigenous students to meet the costs associated with tertiary study.

Recipients will receive $1,000 in Study Period 1, 2026. Payment will be made as a lump sum approximately 3 weeks after the Census Date.

Eligibility
  • identifying as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person
  • enrolled full-time in any undergraduate program at UniSC (or part-time, where there are exceptional circumstances preventing full-time enrolment)
  • successfully completed a Headstart unit in Year 12 and enrol directly into an undergraduate program for Study Period 1, 2026
