Start your journey to an HDR
There are two ways to apply for a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) at UniSC

Apply with your own research proposal
You can develop your own research idea and apply for an HDR program at any time.
To do this you’ll need to:
- Submit an application for an HDR program of your choice
and separately you may choose to - apply for an HDR scholarship

Apply to undertake a research project
You can also apply for an existing research project that already has a scholarship attached. If you are successful, you can then apply for an HDR program.
In this case:
- First, apply for the HDR project scholarship you are interested in
- Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed
- If selected, you’ll receive an offer from the project supervisor
- If you accept the offer, you’ll then need to apply for the HDR program specified by the supervisor
